Horse Stable Project - Saudi Arabia (Completed: 2023.11)
I was responsible for designing a comprehensive horse stable project that seamlessly integrated elements of sustainability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. The project involved both hardscape and softscape design elements, catering to both practical and environmental needs.
Design Elements:
Main Entrance & Parking: Designed with a focus on ease of access and functionality, including a parking area with a capacity for 8 cars.
Horse Stable & Track: Developed a well-structured and spacious horse stable, including a dedicated horse track.
Hospitality Area: Shaded areas were designed to provide comfort for guests, utilizing materials that blend with the natural surroundings.
Sustainable Landscaping: The landscape design incorporated native and low-maintenance plants, including Cassia Nodosa, Neem trees, and Phoenix dactyliferous palms. The selection of shrubs and ground cover, such as Hibiscus rosa-sinensis and Pennisetum setaceum, provided shade, reduced temperature, and enhanced the overall visual quality.
Lighting: Modern LED spike and bollard lighting was used to ensure safe navigation through pathways and enhance the ambiance at night.
The design was rooted in sustainable practices, employing local materials such as interlock sand and gravel, and ensured the landscape required minimal maintenance while offering a luxurious yet eco-friendly environment.
